Empty promises

Are the majority of people in our country wildly successful?

I think we all know the answer to that question. Of course not.

Do people just not want to live a good life? Do people actually enjoy being unhappy? If you sit most people down in a comfortable, non threatening environment and ask them if they want more from life I would go out on a limb and bet that most people would say that they want more.

What is holding us back?

Listen...if you want a REALLY detailed answer go read a Tony Robbins book. Go watch a video on YouTube or something because, what do I know, I am just an endurance jock. I hold no secrets but I do know what the key is. Guess what? I've already said it....

Get with the program! You can't win the lottery if you don't play. You can't have a family of you don't have an mate. You can't pay the bills without money. The NFL isn't going to call you to kick the game winning field goal if you don't have a helmet.

Do you want to know the key, the secret, the missing link, the formula, the ONE thing you need to do...

It's one word my friends....

ACTION.

That's it. You need to do something. How can you even learn what to do if you do nothing? If you want to learn from Tony Robbins you at least need to pick up his book. If you want a job you need to apply. If you want to lose weight you need to get off your ass....

You see here is what the "Biggest Loser" generation does.... (Are you ready for me to offend a whole bunch of you?)

They sit on the couch eating ice cream watching the Biggest Loser waiting for the phone to ring. 

Or they spend their last $5 to buy a lottery ticket to win $500 million.

Or they read book after book about success....

Yet...we are still fat, broke and un-successful.

The truth hurts for a lot of us.

As the calendar pages turn are we going to make a bunch of empty promises to ourselves again? Are we going to sick around and continue to find an excuse for everything? Are we going to make a goal then simply slink back into the shadows of failure when the going gets tough?

You see..the successful among us understand and see this. Nobody is going to save you. You aren't going to win the lottery. There isn't a new diet out there that will work for you.
